Hiya Taylor,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so excited you are planning an upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort. No matter when you choose to visit, I know it will be magical because you are making memories with the ones you love!
After a long day at the theme parks, logging miles, a good night’s sleep is essential. Anytime we book our resort stays now, we prioritize proximity to the theme parks, access to complimentary transportation, and a 5th sleeper option for our toddler (she’s a little too tiny for a full-sized bed right now). Unfortunately, Walt Disney World Resort hotels do not offer rollaway beds, so a room with a 5th sleeper (a smaller child-sized pull-down bed) is the next best thing. Both
Caribbean Beach Resort and
Port Orleans – Riverside have 5th-sleeper beds (
Coronado Springs does not), so if having that extra, smaller bed is essential to you, try to get a room at one of those two. I do want to remind you that the 5th sleeper bed is smaller and not a full-sized mattress. I’m 5 feet 2 inches, and I can lie comfortably on it, but my 5 feet 10-inch Prince Charming has to scrunch up to fit, so it is generally not adult-sized friendly.
I hope this was helpful, Taylor. Which one you choose comes down to preference; if you want to be closer to EPCOT and have access to the
Disney Skyliner, then you will want to make a reservation at Caribbean Beach Resort. Prefer the quieter vibe (also yummy beignets) and don’t mind only having the bus as your complimentary transportation option, then head for Port Orleans – Riverside. Make sure that, no matter which resort you choose, you reserve a 5th-sleeper room, not a standard room. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
