Hi there, Dorothy! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. I can tell you are a Disneyland planner at heart just like us panelists! January is a great time to visit the Happiest Place on Earth. The first week of the month is usually my favorite as the holiday crowds have started to disperse, but the holly jolly spirit and festivities usually extend into the first few days of January, so you get the best of both worlds!
As you have discovered,
theme park tickets and
vacation packages for the Disneyland Resort have not quite opened up for 2023. We work on a bit of a different system than our friends over on the east coast. You are right to be on the lookout though because typically we will start to see information about the following year at some point during the summer. My best piece of advice is to check out the
Disney Parks Blog, but also give
@DISNEYLAND,
@PLANDISNEYPANEL, and
@DISNEYPARKS a follow on Instagram. Over the last year, I've noticed that this is where news breaks first! And you might even pick up a fun tip or two along the way as you plan for your vacation!
One date for your Disneyland planning calendar to note is that
dining reservations will open up to you 60 days prior to arrival. Popular spots that fill up quickly include
Blue Bayou Restaurant where you overlook your fellow Guests sailing off on their pirate adventure and
Lamplight Lounge with its views of Pixar Pier. If those are on your list, I would definitely set a calendar reminder to hop on and book those at the 60-day mark!
Speaking of tips, have you given the
planDisney Podcast a listen, yet? My fabulous fellow panelists are talking about everything from the return of the Nighttime Spectaculars to insider tips about
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge to all the fun things to look forward to for the holidays! The best part is that you can also watch the podcasts, which are filmed in some pretty spectacular locations!
Dorothy, I know I couldn't give you an exact answer to your question today, but I do hope it was helpful in your planning! If anything else pops up, feel free to come back to see us here at
planDisney!
Keep wishing on those stars,
Tara
