I am looking to book a cruise for Sept of 2016. My children will be 3.5 and 1 year and 9 months. Is it crazy to take two children so young? I am also concerned that if they cry in the middle of the night, we will be disturbing other guests. Any advice?

    Hi, Stacie!

So great to hear that you are planning a magical voyage with your family for next year. You'll be in great company bringing along little cruisers on your voyage. You are not crazy at all :-). There's something about cruising with Captain Mickey that allows young families to enjoy their vacation together -- all the while, allowing the little kids AND parents to do their own thing and take a break from each other. It is refreshing!

When we traveled with toddlers, they were actually pretty tired in the evening -- since they've been playing all afternoon and evening around the ship. When they spend time at either the Nursery or the Oceaneer Club, there is so much stimulation going on, that when their head hits the pillow... they're out for the night. Depending on which floor you are on, there are nice quiet areas by the stairs and elevators that you can hang out at -- gives you a bit more walking and dancing space to lull your little one to sleep. The stateroom walls holds up really well with noise between rooms, I think.

Seeing their faces light up when they see the various Disney Characters on board is priceless! They'll love spending time at the Youth Clubs for sure. And for you - you've got a lot to look forward to as well, since you can allow some Me-Time! You'll enjoy your adult bonding time more, knowing that the kids are safe and enjoying themselves at the Youth Clubs with the counselors. There's something for everyone on the Disney Cruise, including Parents!

I hope this helps, Stacie. Please do let us know if you have any other questions. We are always glad to help!

    Have a magical day,
