Hello, Jason! Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you cruised to us with your question as you prepare to sail aboard the
Disney Dream!
The imaginative spaces specifically designed for kids aboard Disney Cruise Line's ships are what first drew my family to sailing with Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie. They did not disappoint, and we have been sailing and making magical memories for several years now. I can't wait for your sailing crew to experience it all, too.
I have great news!
Disney's Oceaneer Club and Disney's Oceaneer Lab onboard the Disney Dream offer secure activities for toilet-trained children aged 3-10. If your whole family wants to see the Star Wars area in this kid-exclusive space, you are in luck, as
Open Houses are held periodically throughout the sailing, and guests of any age can come and check out the fun. Just don't be surprised if the adults in your party walk away jealous!
When you board the ship on embarkation day, you can expect the first Open House to be underway in the afternoon. This is a great opportunity for your children to get comfortable and excited about the play areas. They can meet the engaging Youth Counselors and see the activities that will be offered.
Once onboard, you can open the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and have access to the Daily Activity Schedule, which will list the counselor-led activities happening in the youth spaces. There are lots of chances for free play, but some fun games and even activities with Disney Characters will take place. My kids wanted to stay and play all day!
Jason, if you have additional questions, please sail back to us again. My pals and I are here to help.
Happy Planning,
Adrianna
