    We are looking to book Castaway Ray's Stingray encounter and I was wondering if you are allowed to use your own snorkel gear. We have snorkel vests as well.

    Ahoy there, Nicole! It is totally awesome that you sailed by planDisney with your question. Disney Castaway Cay is a private island with both family and adult-exclusive beaches. There are also character meet-and-greets, beach activities, and a BBQ lunch to look forward to.

    Castaway Ray's Stingray Adventure (C13) sounds like a great way to get up and personal with the stingrays. You can bring your own snorkeling gear with you, but you may be asked to wear the Disney Cruise Line bright yellow snorkel vest even though you have your own. This helps the lifeguards identify if someone is in trouble.

    The 22-acre snorkeling lagoon on Castaway is a great area to explore. You will find some hidden treasure as well as marine life while you float around.  Don’t forget to take lots of pictures as you make your way back to the ship after your day of fun in the sun.
