We are looking to book a beachcomber shack at Typhoon Lagoon but we have a party of 10. We heard that we could book a premium shack that has seats for 8 but would allow 10 guest to use the shack... is that still the case... and how far out can I book?

Hiya, Sam! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by and sending us your question. How exciting that you're planning a vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth this fall!

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is my family's favorite water park! The theming is so fun and it's the perfect way to have a fun family day while cooling off from the Florida sun! I can't think of a better way to relax there than to have your very own private Beachcomber Shack! There are currently three types of shacks you can reserve. The Premium Beachcomber Shack does feature seating for up to eight guests. While I was unable to confirm that you can have up to 10 guests, I can imagine that not everyone would be at the shack at the same time, and if it was allowed, you would likely have some guests that wouldn't have seating. I would recommend asking this question when you call to reserve. You can reserve a Beachcomber Shack up to 60 days before your arrival date. If you happen to be staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you can reserve 60 days before your resort hotel check-in date.

I have a couple of tips to make your water park day even more fun! If you arrive as soon as the water park opens, I would suggest riding some of the more popular attractions like Crush 'N' Gusher while the wait times are lower. When you are ready for a snack, I suggest heading to Happy Landings Ice Cream. Our family has taken the fun route of floating down Castaway Creek on a tube and hopping off at this spot! You will find lots of yummy ice cream treats and I highly recommend ordering the Sand Pail! This is a sand bucket...yes! A sand bucket, filled with chocolate and vanilla soft-serve ice cream and topped with waffle cone pieces, Oreo cookie pieces, sprinkles, hot fudge, caramel sauce, creamy topping, and a cherry! Not only was it fun to eat and delicious, but the look on my kids' faces was also so worth it!

    Happy Planning!
