Hi Jordyn,
Welcome to planDisney and let me be among the first to send my congratulations on your happily ever after! As you are in the final planning stages for your wedding and honeymoon celebration, those touching lyrics from
Magic Kingdom Park's evening fireworks spectacular ring even more true. "Diving in with our hearts wide open...It's just beginning, feel your heart beat faster! Reach out and find your Happily Ever After!" That song just gives me goosebumps no matter how many times I hear it, and I've been known to belt it down Main Street, U.S.A. on more than one occasion. I'm so excited for you and your husband to begin this adventure of a lifetime together, beginning with a honeymoon at The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Now before I pull out the karaoke machine and give you a full-on serenade, let's get down to answering your question. Walt Disney World Resort is top-notch when it comes to providing an excellent experience for
guests of all abilities and those with
mobility concerns. You can
book an Accessible Room at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel where you'll start your day with complimentary transportation to the parks.
Disney bus transportation can accommodate wheelchairs and ECVs, and the Disney Skyliner and Monorail systems provide seamless transportation as well. You'll want to make sure you've made
theme park reservations before you arrive, as these are required in addition to valid admission for visits through January 8, 2024.
I reached out to a Cast Member regarding dining and they let me know that your husband should be able to remain in his wheelchair during your meals. Just let a Cast Member know when you arrive to check in for your reservation. I'd recommend a romantic meal at
Le Cellier Steakhouse in EPCOT or
Flying Fish on Disney's BoardWalk. My family dined at Flying Fish on our recent visit and loved the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant, not to mention the incredible menu. Don't miss the Spanish Octopus and Slow-roasted Pork Belly starters!
Reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made beginning 60 days in advance of your visit.
I'd also like to suggest purchasing
Memory Maker so you can capture all those special moments around the parks together. You might also consider booking a private
Capture Your Moment session with a Disney PhotoPass photographer. These sessions are available to reserve in each park as part of the
Enchanting Extras Collection. I'd also recommend toasting your wedded bliss with a
Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party at the end of your trip. Talk about a magical finale!
Jordyn, if you'd like more personalized suggestions or have additional questions please reach back out to us. We're always happy to help!
Magic and memories,
Amy
