Hi Looking for the best moderately priced hotel with easy transport for a family of 4 with teens ages 13 and 18 within the Resort. Planning to come during the Winter season and would like freedom for our kids to explore easily. Thanks

    Hi Cheryl,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm happy to help with a resort recommendation. My family's favorite moderate resort with our daughters, who are now 18 and 24, is Port Orleans Riverside. It's a beautiful resort with easy access to the theme parks. Once you leave the resort, the bus ride to Magic Kingdom, Epcot or Hollywood Studios is only about 15 minutes with Animal Kingdom just a bit longer

Besides complimentary bus transportation to all the parks, Port Orleans offers water taxi service to Disney Springs, which has so many options for shopping, dining and entertainment for adults and teens.

The resort lots to offer in terms of recreation as well: six pools, surrey bikes, movies under the stars, horse-drawn carriage rides and more.

As a guest at Port Orleans Riverside, you also can use the pool and all the amenities at the adjacent Port Orleans French Quarter. Don't miss the hot beignets offered at the French Quarter's Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory.

I hope your family finds Port Orleans Riverside as convenient and enjoyable as my family. Please check back if we can offer any more tips for planning your Walt Disney World vacation. Enjoy!
