    Looking for the best moderate resort for my 2 & 5 yr olds my parents and myself. Best accommodations? walking distance to bus? Pools? Any advice on the best standard room locations to avoid paying higher rate. Thanks

    Hello Chris and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    I have found that each resort has a "best" for different reasons.  The moderate resorts consist of:  the Cabins at Fort Wilderness, Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans - French Quarter, and Port Orleans - Riverside.  If securing a room close to the amenities without upgrading to a preferred room is important for this trip then I recommend booking Port Orleans - French Quarter. 

    I have stayed in this amazingly beautiful resort with my children and have found that all of the rooms are quite close to the pool, food court, and bus depot.  The resort is more intimate than the other moderates and it is easy to move about with little ones.  I would however request a ground floor room if your parents have any mobility concerns over climbing stairs. 

    My children especially loved the pool with the dragon water slide and whimsical theming.  (You will chuckle when you see the Alligator Jazz Band).  My husband and I loved the romantic views and walking paths along the Sassagoula river.  We all enjoyed taking a peaceful and scenic boat ride to Downtown Disney every night for dinner.  Can you tell I'm missing it?  Oh and the fresh beignets made fresh to order are scrumptious!
