Looking for the best moderate resort with the best pool and kid friendly (picky eater) foods! Traveling with a 4 and 8 year old. Also traveling with Grandma too, so need a room for 5 or suite. Any suggestions? Read some concerning reviews read online.

    WDW Moderates

The only moderate resort that will accommodate your family of five in a standard room is Port Orleans Riverside (POR). We recently stayed at POR and had a great time. My 11 year old son said the slide at the pool had a couple of curves and he enjoyed the pool.

My son votes the pool slides/pools at the moderate resorts in this order (highest to lowest):
    1. Coronado Springs
    2. Caribbean Beach
    3. Port Orleans Riverside
    4. Port Orleans French Quarter

Of course, his order has changed throughout the years. When he was younger, he loved the pool at Port Orleans French Quarter.

I will caution that the rooms at POR have not been refurbished yet. They are in need of new TVs, furnishings, linens, etc. The resort is beautiful and the Sassagoula Riverboat transportation to Downtown Disney is convenient and fun.

All of the moderate resorts have kid-friendly food. A quick look at menus via www.allears.net will help you plan accordingly.

You may also want to look at the All-Star Family Music suites which sleep up to six people. The food court offers kid-friendly food, the pools while lacking slides are fun and the rooms are more updated. You'll also get two bathrooms and a kitchenette area. This is a nice option at a value resort.
