Looking for the best deal for tickets and rooms March 1 to March 8, 2021. Military and disabled. Party of two both need medical scooters. Please advise ASAP

Hi there, Lea, and welcome to planDisney! From my military family to yours, thank you for your service to our country.

You are planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort in only a few short DAYS! Let’s get you all the information you need so you can make your plans and then focus on the fun.

Walt Disney World Resort offers some truly fantastic discounts for military families. Let’s start with your resort hotel room. Currently, military members can enjoy discounts on select resort hotel rooms, and you’ll need to call and speak to a Reservations Cast Member to find out pricing and availability for military discounted rooms. They can be reached at (407) 939-7830. I recommend taking a look at the Resort Hotels page to get a feel for what kind of room and price range you’re looking for; I usually keep the web page open when I’m talking to a Cast Member so I can look at things like the pool, dining, and resort theming. When you book your room, you can let the Cast Member know you’d like to request an accessible room or one on the first floor to accommodate your mobility scooters.

Disney also offers Military Promotional theme park tickets at a great price. You can pick those up at your local base ticket office. I understand you’re getting very close to your travel date and may have a lot on your to-do list, but there are two major advantages to picking up your tickets in advance. First, you’ll need to make Disney Park Pass reservations for each day you’d like to visit a theme park, and you must have tickets linked to your My Disney Experience account in order to make those. It’s a great idea to get that all planned and sorted out in advance to ensure everything goes smoothly during your vacation. Secondly, your theme park tickets are tax free when purchased at a base ticket office. Once you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll need to visit Guest Relations to show your ID and activate your military tickets, so be sure to bring your military ID on your vacation.

Lea, since you’ll both have mobility scooters, I also recommend a visit to Guest Relations to inquire about Disability Access Service. The Cast Member there can explain the services they offer to Guests with mobility disabilities so you can be comfortable and well during your time in The Most Magical Place on Earth.

You are going to have so much fun during your springtime visit! The Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival kicks off on March 3; I absolutely love this festival’s delicious food (try the frozen violet lemonade), gorgeous Disney-themed topiaries, and special activities.

I know I’ve given you a lot of information, so please feel free to come back and ask any more questions you might have. It’s a pleasure to help a fellow military family plan their together time.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
