We are looking at The Art of Animation, but I’ve heard if you stay in The Little Mermaid it’s very far from food/main pool/park transport. Is there transport within the hotel itself, since it is so large?

    Hi Jamie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I have a special fondness for Disney's Art of Animation Resort thanks to its larger-than-life photo-worthy icons from some of Disney's most beloved animated movies. Did you know that this resort is connected to Disney's Pop Century Resort Hotel by a footbridge, meaning that you'll essentially have two close dining options? Don't forget to bring your Resort Refill Mug as it will work at all Disney Resort Hotels!

This is a common question and thought on the internet as well as in many Walt Disney World Resort planning circles, as the map and circular-ish layout of this resort hotel both seem to distort everything. While it is true that these rooms are at the very far end of this Disney Resort Hotel, the walk from the main building where the lobby, Landscape of Flavors Food Court, and Bus Stop are located is actually the same distance from the turnstiles of Magic Kingdom Park to Cinderella Castle. While there is no inner-hotel transportation, many guests have clocked in the walk between six and ten minutes, and actually you can find helpful videos previous guests have posted on youtube of themselves walking from the bus stop to these buildings.

I do recommend using a stroller for any junior Mouseketeers you'll might have with you, only because there is a lot to look at (and become distracted by) between these rooms and the lobby, which will definitely add some time to your commute if you were in a rush to catch a bus or make it to a meal.

I hope this helped, Jamie, and We'll See You Real Soon!
