Hi Kathleen!
Thank you for visiting planDisney. I’m excited to help you as you consider becoming an
Annual Passholder at Walt Disney World Resort—what an amazing way to enjoy the magic year-round!
When you purchase an Annual Pass, you can begin using it the same day, including visiting a park that evening, as long as you’ve made a
Disney Park Pass reservation for that park. Once your pass is purchased, it can be linked to your
My Disney Experience account, and you’ll be able to make park reservations right away. If you choose the Florida Resident monthly payment plan, your first payment will be processed at the time of purchase, but you don’t have to wait for it to fully process before using your pass.
It’s important to note that
December 24th is a blockout date for most Annual Pass types, except for the Disney Incredi-Pass, which is the only Annual Pass without any blockout dates. If you’re planning to visit the parks on Christmas Eve, you’ll need to have the Incredi-Pass to gain entry, provided you’ve made a Disney Park Pass reservation and there is availability.
I recommend checking the
availability calendar before purchasing your pass, especially for popular dates like Christmas Eve. Even with an Incredi-Pass, reservations are required for park entry. If park reservations are full for that evening, you can still take advantage of Annual Passholder benefits, such as dining and merchandise discounts, or enjoy other activities on Disney property.
I hope this helps clarify things as you plan your visit! If you have more questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to planDisney again. Have a magical time!
Best,
~Yael
