Ahoy Bradford –
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are so very excited to hear about your Alaska cruise next year, and we know your pirate crew will have a fabulous time. My fellow Moms Panelist Ricardo is planning to go in May, and he had a difficult time deciding which city to choose for his flight. Both cities offer amazing adventures, cultural experiences and wonderful cuisine. For convenience, Vancouver is best due to its close proximity and the feasibility of not having to arrange a rental car and driving. Ricardo chose Seattle for cost reasons because he was able to find a great deal on airfare, and along with renting a car, he saved a great deal of cash in his treasure chest. If you are budgeting your gold doubloons for pirate souvenirs, then you have much to consider.
As far as tours, Disney Cruise Line offers a
Northwest Exploration tour that visits Gastown and the Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver on debarkation day. There are no Port Adventures in Vancouver before the cruise, but I suggest you check
www.tourismvancouver.com where you can find out about the Vancouver Aquarium, the Vancouver Art Gallery, Grouse Mountain and many other sights. Click the link for the
Visitor Centre and all of the phone numbers and websites for the tours are available.
Seattle has bicycle tours, craft tours, and food tours that are amazing. You should check
www.seattle.gov and click on
Visiting/Touring to find links of phone numbers and websites for companies offering tours. Bradford, I was so excited with the details of your trip, and I am sure your pirate crew will have a great time! Thanks for visiting us and please come to see us again soon.
