Hiya, Kayla! I am SO thrilled for your first family trip with your daughter, and what better place to celebrate her first birthday than at the Happiest Place on Earth! Be sure to stop by City Hall in Disneyland Park, or Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park, for a complimentary “1st Visit” button for your daughter. Even if you don’t pin it on her, you could still take a cute picture of her with the button on Main Street, U.S.A. Memories of a first visit will last a lifetime!
You’re definitely going to want to get acquainted with the
Baby Care Centers, located inside both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. They were a lifesaver for me when my children were babies. Not only are they a great place to feed, change, or nurse, but they’re also a perfect spot to purchase baby necessities, like diapers and wipes.
Luckily, the Disneyland Resort theme parks are the ultimate family-friendly destination, so there are plenty of attractions that you and your family can ride together. Simply
filter the Attraction list by “Any height” to see which Attractions will work for your family. Some of my children’s favorite Attractions as babies were “it’s a small world”, Casey Jr. Circus Train, the Disneyland Railroad, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure.
Lastly, I recommend
downloading the Disneyland app, which allows you to check wait times, find favorite Characters, utilize Disney MaxPass, and even order food and drinks ahead of time.
Wishing you a pixie-dusted vacation full of magical memories!
Kristin
