Morgen from AZ Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I just looked today and a few days ago and Storytellers is showing no reservations for anytime any day for the next 60 days. I've never seen it completely booked. Is something going on with the reservation system?

    Hi there, Morgen!

Indeed, the struggle is real. The character dining experiences for the upcoming holidays are so stinkin' cute and desirable, it seems everyone and their dog is interested in booking a meal at either Storytellers Cafe or Goofy's Kitchen.

There are a couple of things that I think could be going on when you come up with no reservation availability at Storytellers Cafe. First, Experiment 626 (aka Stitch) might be causing some mischief. He seems to be up to his antics especially when lots of Guests are interested in logging on and booking reservations. I think I noticed this on October 2nd when the first wave of Holiday-time reservations for Storytellers were opened up and again on October 14th when reservations for Candlelight Processional Dining Packages at EPCOT first became available. Or, I suppose it could just be the large volume of traffic loading down the servers. Hmm. Nah! I'm going with Stitch on this one.

The other guess I have is related to party size when searching for reservations. If you just happen to be looking for a table for only one or two Guests or perhaps a table for 5 or more Guests, you may observe that there are sometimes few if any available reservations. I suspect that is because there are usually relatively few 2-top and 6-top table sizes at most of the restaurants. From my observations, it seems the automated reservation system is set up to align requests for a party of two with the 2-top tables. When that limited set of tables is fully booked, I believe the system shows no reservation availability.

Tony's Tip: Can you keep a secret, Morgen? If you think you are experiencing the party-size reservation roadblock I described above, you might try this special procedure. You can try booking a table for three Guests. Then, after you confirm that reservation, go back to the My Plans page and use the "Change Reservation" link on your booking for Storytellers. Open the "Edit" link for the Party Size to change the number of Guests to two. When finalizing the reservation again, be sure to choose the exact date and time of your original reservation. If you need a reservation for a party larger than four, I recommend doing something like booking two tables for three or four Guests each. You may need to employ the help of another member of your party to book the second reservation if the system won't allow you to have two reservations that overlap. Don't forget to go back to My Plans to verify that your reservation is as you expect.

Whether you are hosted by the magnificent Daisy Duck at her pajama party, admiring Scrooge McDuck's heart of gold at Mickey's Christmas Carol Feast, or indulging in a wonderful seasonal meal with Donald, Mickey, or Clarabelle, I hope you have a marvelous time at Storytellers Cafe, Morgen. Won't you please come back to planDisney and tell us how it goes?

Have a great time at The Happiest Place on Earth, Morgen!
