Hello Martin!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with an excellent question.
I have a 14-year-old teenage sister who sometimes has a very hard time choosing from the adult menu depending on the dining location. However, she has been able to select meals from the kids’ menus without any issues.
Please talk to your server and explain the situation, and they will be happy to accommodate your request if possible. Sometimes it may even be possible to make substitutions to an adult meal, so always check if that is the case. Please note that if you are dining at a buffet or family-style restaurant, if your child is 10 years or older they will be charged as an adult even if only eating from the kids’ selections. If you are using a
Disney Dining Plan, please note that using your child’s “adult” entitlement to order a kids’ meal may not be the best way to make the most out of your credits, since children’s entrées usually cost less than adult meals.
Thank you very much for stopping by, Martin! I hope this helps you while planning and that you have a magical visit.
Best Disney Wishes,
Thiana
