    Hi, I just looked at the calendar and realized our stay at POFQ this year(3/3-3/9) will coincide with Mardi Gras . Do you know if there are any special "celebrations" at the resort that day?

    Hi Susan! The Unofficial Visitor's Guide to Riverside and French Quarter reports an annual tradition at Disney's Port Orleans Resort in honor of Mardi Gras. There is a Mardi Gras parade and float-decorating contest that consists of Cast Member-decorated golf carts, that serve as parade floats. Cast Members are given a specific theme in which to decorate their float. Guests staying at Disney's Port Orleans Resort can interact with Cast Members and enjoy a fun Mardi Gras Celebration.
