Hey howdy hey, Irene! You’ve got a friend in me at planDisney, and I’d love to help you start planning your visit to the
Happiest Place on Earth! After the crazy year we’ve had, I can’t think of anything better than experiencing Disney magic once again, especially during the
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort!
I’m glad to hEAR you’re looking into building a Vacation Package for your December 2022 adventures. It’s the perfect way to build your dream vacation while taking your family's preferences and budget into consideration. Currently, you can view the main
Vacation Package homepage, but hotel reservations aren’t showing availability past December 31, 2020
due to the temporary closure of the Disneyland Resort theme parks and hotels. Also, new ticket sales are currently unavailable as well. I recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and
Disneyland.com for the latest updates on when ticket sales and hotel reservations will resume. Typically, Vacation Packages for the following year are available during late summer or early fall, so I’m hoping you’ll be able to book your dream vacation by then.
In the meantime, while we await
reopening news, I recommend thinking about where you'd like to stay. When building a Vacation Package, you can choose between a
Disneyland Resort Hotel Vacation Package, which includes a stay at one of the three hotels on property, or a
Good Neighbor Hotel Vacation Package, which includes a stay at a Disney-approved hotel close to the Resort. I’ve been fortunate to stay at each of the on-property hotels, and love the unique personalities of each location.
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa offers the most convenient theme-park access, with an exclusive entrance into Disney California Adventure Park. This makes for an easy midday pool or nap break. The
Disneyland Hotel is also a favorite in my family thanks to the classic Disney nostalgia, the awesome monorail waterslides, and
Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar! Last but not least,
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel is a beach-themed hotel with a great rooftop pool and beautiful views of Disney California Adventure Park. It’s also a budget-friendly option that still provides easy access into Downtown Disney District and the theme parks.
I recommend checking out

Wishing you a magical day, Irene!
