Hi there, Nelson!
Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question. One of my favorite parts of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is the opportunity to make magical memories with my family, so I'm happy to walk you through your options so that your family can begin its own practically perfect vacation.
While the Haunted Mansion always has room for one more, this is not the case for all Disney Resort hotel accommodations. Since you're traveling as a party of six, I suggest looking into the Family Suites at
Disney's All-Star Music and
Disney's Art of Animation Resorts. These roomy suites feature one queen bed, two pull-down beds, a kitchenette, and two full bathrooms. Typically, the suites at All-Star Music are offered at lower price points than those at Art of Animation because of Art of Animation's location on the
Disney Skyliner and the immersive theming available. Guests can choose from available Finding Nemo, Cars, and The Lion King themed suites here.
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort offer a more rustic, homey feeling for a family of six. The accommodations include a queen-sized bed, a double sleeper sofa, and a set of bunk beds in addition to its one bathroom, kitchen, and outdoor patio. The prime location of The Cabins on Seven Seas Lagoon means Guests have access to
water transportation to Magic Kingdom Park as well as incredible views of the
Electrical Water Pageant.
If you're hoping for a bit more luxury during your magical vacation, another option for a larger party would be a
2-Bedroom Villa at select Disney Vacation Club Resorts. My family loves staying in a Villa because of their full kitchens, washer and dryer, and amazing locations on Walt Disney World Resort property. From certain resorts, Guests can walk to Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, and Disney's Hollywood Studios, while Guests of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge have access to dedicated Resort-exclusive savannas.
When
booking your Walt Disney World Resort vacation online, after you select your hotel and room type, you will have the opportunity to specify the type and number of theme park tickets you would like to add as you build your family's vacation package. You'll also have the option to purchase certain add-ons such as a dining plan or Memory Maker for your package enabling you to tailor your vacation package to best fit your family's needs. Don't forget to take a look at the
Special Offers available during your vacation dates! Keep in mind that additional offers may be added closer to your vacation, and depending on availability, you might be able to edit your existing reservation to apply a new offer.
Whichever Disney Resort hotel you choose, you're sure to love the
benefits of staying in the middle of the magic, Nelson! I hope this was helpful and that your family has a wonderful vacation. Feel free to stop back by with any additional questions you might have as you continue planning. I'm happy to help!
Cheers to magical memories,
Lizzie
