Magical greetings, Carey, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for asking your question about hotel reservations. Planning the trip is almost as much fun as taking the trip, and I'm happy to help you locate your reservation.
If you've already booked your
Disney Resort hotel stay, you should have received an email from Walt Disney World Reservations. Within that, you'll find your confirmation number. Once you have it, you can link it within your
My Disney Experience Mobile App by selecting the the horizontal lines in the bottom right corner of the app (some call this the hamburger icon). Then you'll select "My Plans," followed by "Link Admission, Reservations or Purchases." On that screen, you'll see "Type ID" on the top right, then about two-thirds of the way down that screen, you'll see where you can enter in your Resort Reservation details. Once you've done that, you'll have it handy within the app anytime you want to take a look, which might be frequently, if you're like me.
You can also do this on the
Walt Disney World Website. From the home page, click on "My Plans," then at the top, you'll see, "Resort Hotel." You'll see a drop-down where you can link your reservation. Whether you complete this in the app or on the website, you'll see it in both places going forward. You'll also be able to complete your online checkin,
reserve dining or recreation, peruse restaurant menus and check park hours within either site as well, just to name a few.
One of my favorite things to do within the app is check wait times. I especially like to do this as my trip draws near. While not an exact science, it helps me understand what I might expect so I can decide if purchasing
Lightning Lane Passes is right for me, and it usually is. I like to purchase a combination of Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass to help maximize my time during busy times, in particular. If it's within your budget, Lightning Lane Premier Pass is the ultimate way to experience every attraction with a Lightning Lane queue once within whichever theme park you purchase it for with minimal wait times. It's like having your own little magic wand to bypass the stand-by lines by using the Lightning Lane entrances.
Carey, I hope this has been helpful to you. If you still have questions or get stuck, come back and
visit me, and I'll be happy to help you further. Have a wonderful trip!
Grab hold of your dreams!
Melanie
