How do I look up what excursions are offered on a cruise?

Oh boy, Kelly! Welcome to planDisney! I hope your question means you have a Disney Cruise on the horizon! Some of my family's fondest memories are onboard a Disney Cruise and our highlights, besides the dining and entertainment, of course, are the shore excursions. So, I love that you've got adventure on your mind - great question!

There is a plethora of exciting Port Adventures specially selected by Disney Cruise Line to provide you with the very best each destination has to offer. My family loves diving into the culture of each port, bringing each destination to life.

If you haven't booked your cruise yet, Kelly, feel free to research excursion options on the Disney Cruise Line website, searching by destination. As you'll see from the Bahamas Port Adventures list, for example, you'll find detailed descriptions of anything from dolphin swims to bicycle rentals. You're also able to search specific excursions by ports of call, activity level, and pricing. I have two wild and wonderful boys who would love nothing more than to participate in all the things, so I'm always mindful of age requirements here as well.

Something else to account for is the amount of time each excursion may require. Some may be half-day or full-day adventures, while others may be shorter. But what's priceless about booking a Disney Cruise Line-organized Port Adventure, Kelly, is that if it should run late for whatever reason, Disney Cruise Line will either wait until you arrive or prepare complimentary transportation to get you to the next port of call. Although not ideal, you can rest assured knowing that you will be taken care of, if you book your excursion with Disney. I really appreciate that peace of mind!

If you're all set to sail on a Disney Cruise and are ready to go ahead and book, you may do so online simply by logging on to your Disney Cruise Line account and navigating to the "My Reservations" section. From there, browse the available excursions for each port of call and add them to your itinerary. You'll need to provide information such as number of participants and any special requirements or requests. Or feel free to give a friendly Cast Member a call, if you'd like to book an excursion that way.

I hope that this information has been helpful to you, Kelly, but if you have any other questions that come up in your planning, please stop by again! We're happy to help and would love to see you out at sea soon!

    Have a magical day!

Meet the Panelist: McCayla, Washington

Hello from the Pacific Northwest! I'm McCayla, a wife and mom dreaming of adventure in the great wide somewhere, yet also completely content watching Toy Story from the couch. My love of Disneyland began as a little girl on Peter Pan's Flight and only grows with each visit. But even when I'm not physically at the Happiest Place on Earth, I truly feel that same joy when I can help others (YOU!) experience the magic of Disneyland Resort too.
