Welcome to planDisney, Stacy! Thank you for stopping by with this question about planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
Planning with some flexibility gives so many options for finding the ideal room and best rates for your vacations. I know when I have wiggle room in planning flights, I use the "My Dates are Flexible" option when searching for airfares to find the best days to depart and return, especially when buying seats for everyone in the family.
I wish booking a
Disney Resorts Collection were as simple. The resorts have so many different room types from studios to 3-bedroom grand villas, and the availability is so dynamic with the volume of reservations being made at all times. I know it can take a while to search various date options, but using dates is the best way to start researching options for your dream vacation.
A few tips: once you have searched based on dates and have a resort and room type selected, you can add the reservation to your cart. In your cart, but before you check out, you can see the room rate by the day, giving you insight into the varying costs across the nights of your proposed stay for that reservation. Again, with the volume of reservations being made, a new search could have different results, but it is a bit of information you might find helpful.
Did you know there is also a feature to compare offers? Once you have selected your room and the number of days for which you want theme park tickets, hit "Continue." At the bottom of the next screen, you can find "Compare Vacation Offers" in blue text. Following this link will lead you to other resorts and offers that may interest you based on your travel dates.
As a Florida resident, I highly recommend that you log in with your
My Disney Experience account as the system will include any available
special offers that apply to your reservation. You may also want to scan the Special Offers page for discounts or offers available, such as
discounted resort rates this spring and early summer for Florida residents; a
discount offer on stays of 5 nights or longer; and the current
Florida Resident Discover Disney Ticket offer. This page may be your best first stop as you think about time frames that work with your schedule.
I hope your planning is as easy as a summer breeze. Please come back to
planDisney with any other questions as you prepare for your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth. We are happy to help with all your questions.
Adventure is out there!
