Welcome to planDisney, Jennie! As soon as I see that iconic carpet in the Orlando International Airport, I know the magic is about to begin!
If you are staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort, my first suggestion is always the
Minnie Van Service. It feels like starting vacation early! A friendly Cast member will pick you up and drive you straight to your Disney Resort hotel. You can preview the current cost by using the Lyft app. There are detailed instructions on
the website. My fellow panelist, Amy, discusses
pre-booking a Minnie Van here.
Another popular option is
Mears Connect. I have used this service many times and have found it to be affordable and reliable. Keep in mind that this is a shared vehicle with other parties, and it will likely stop at multiple resorts.
Finally, you can use a rideshare service. These are very popular in the Orlando area, so there are always several readily available. To accommodate your family, as well as your luggage, you'll want to select one of their larger options (often labeled as XL or XXL) that seats six, in addition to luggage.
The good news is that once you arrive, you have several options for transportation. You can take a Minnie Van from one Walt Disney World location to another, or you can take advantage of
Disney's complimentary transportation, which includes buses, boats, the monorail, and
Disney's Skyliner! You can relax and leave the traveling to Disney. It's one of the many perks of staying at a Disney Resort hotel. I suggest using your
My Disney Experience App to identify the best mode to use depending on where you're headed.
However you get there, Jennie, you are sure to have a wonderful vacation at The Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have additional questions, I hope you'll come back and see us here at
planDisney!
Always dreaming -
