Welcome to planDisney, Amberlea! It's great to have you here.
When it comes to planning a vacation to the
Walt Disney World Resort, the earlier you start to plan, the better. However, 2026 vacations are not yet available for booking. The next year's packages typically go on sale the spring or summer of the year before. This year, packages for most of 2025 started to go on sale a little earlier, in February of 2024. Just note that these timelines are not guarantees and are typically for Guests in the United States as booking timelines for International Guests can differ. You'll want to stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog for any announcements as to when packages for 2026 vacations are going to go on sale.
In recent years, there have been 14-day and 7-day Magic Ticket deals exclusively for our friends in the United Kingdom and Ireland. While I can't guarantee they will be offered again in 2026, it may help to
visit the ticketing page to see the details and understand if this will work for you and your family if it's offered again. It's a great deal and I have to say, I'm a little jealous because I would
totally take advantage of it if I could!
But just because 2026 vacation packages aren't on sale yet, that doesn't mean you can't start some preliminary planning now. Here are some suggestions:
- Take a peek at the experiences coming in 2025, which will likely still be available for you when you visit in 2026. It's always exciting to see what'll be new when you visit the resort.
- Decide with your group what restaurants you'd like to experience while you're there. While there are bound to be new ones by the time July of 2026 rolls around, there will undoubtedly be some classics you'll want to visit. Make a little list! You may also want to decide if a dining plan is right for you.
- Similarly, take a gander at the attractions and experiences to get an idea of what your family would love to enjoy. It's always good to know what is most important for your family members, even the little ones. This way, you can prioritize them and plan around them.
Amberlea, while I'm not going to say that planning is more fun than actually being at the resort, I
will say that it can be loads of fun too! Plan a
movie night, a
game night, or both, and discuss what you're most excited about. It's a great way to start counting down. And yes, you can plan multiple nights! If you want more ideas on how to count down,
