    we would like to look into booking a disney 4 night bahamian cruise, is it necessary or required for us to get a passport for our 6 year old.

    Ahoy Eileen,

    Children can travel with their certified birth certificates (the ones with the raised seals).  As a matter of fact, so can adults as long as they have a government issued photo id with it (driver license).  I'm positive about this...it's how my family and I traveled on the Disney Fantasy a few months ago.   Here are Disney Cruise Line's travel documentation guidelines.
