Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my family’s absolute favorites. There is just nothing like sipping your morning coffee while watching giraffes and zebras roam the savanna. It truly feels like stepping right into your own Lion King moment. And how special that you’ll be there with your grandparents, those are the kinds of memories that last forever.
So, Jennifer, let’s jump right into your question. How fun that your grandpa’s cousin wants to come spend the day with you! When they arrive at the resort, they’ll need to let the security at the gate know they’re visiting you. They will be asked for the name on the reservation, your room number, and a photo ID. Super simple! One little tip I always recommend is letting the
front desk know ahead of time that you’re expecting a day guest. They’ll usually take their name and note it in the system, which helps everything go smoother than a ride down the
Na’vi River Journey. While you’re there, don’t forget to enjoy all the amazing dining at the resort! Two of my favorites are
Jiko – The Cooking Place and
Sanaa over at
Kidani Village. Jiko is such a beautiful dining experience with incredible flavors and an amazing selection of South African wines. And at Sanaa, you have to try the
bread service. It’s one of those we still talk and dream about, even after the trip, kind of Disney foods.
