Hi! Longtime Disney adult, first-time parent here. We'll be visiting Walt Disney World with our 2 month old soon. Any must-haves or recommendations for a successful park day/resort stay? It's a whole new world, so any and all advice is welcome!

How ya doin', Elizabeth, and welcome to planDisney!

You really are in a whole new world with a new little life in tow. Congratulations on starting this brand-new mama adventure. Of course, we've got all sorts of tips and tricks to maneuver through the Most Magical Place on Earth with your baby buddy.

Now I can't let you go into the Disney Parks without making sure you know about the Baby Care Centers. There's one in each of the four parks. These calm, air-conditioned locations come fully equipped with changing tables, nursing rooms, microwaves, and all sorts of baby necessities for purchase. Take a break and tend to both baby and you at any point in the day.

While there are lots of baby-friendly attractions like "it's a small world" and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, you may still want to enjoy some stronger stuff like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Tron Lightcycle/Run. If that's the case, then Rider Switch is a lifesaver. Just let the Cast Member at the front of your desired attraction know, and you and your baby can wait while the other adult rides, then switch places with the other adult to wait with baby so you can ride too.

Packing for this vacation is going to have a different twist this go 'round. While I'm sure you've learned your way around a diaper bag, here are a few extra items that may make your Disney days a little more enjoyable. Beat the heat with cooling towels and a stroller fan. Your little one will be able to stay cool and comfortable, and so will you.

Pro-tip: This trip will be different from any other that you've ever done before. Adjusting around a baby's schedule is a must. Stroller naps while you demolish a DOLE Whip, midday breaks at the resort to recharge, and a diaper bag complete with changes of clothes to combat those supersize messes that babies can make are part of your vibe for now. Enjoy the slow moments with your baby while they're this little.

Elizabeth, have the most magical first trip as a beloved parent. You're going to do great. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back for another chat!

    Happy planning!
    Taylor
