Hi Kayla,
Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
As a
Disney Vacation Club Member with a Home Resort at
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, I can share how much I always enjoy our stays at the resort. I really enjoy the wide open spaces and tranquil retreat vibe. I especially love that
Disney Springs, with all its shopping and dining and entertainment, is such an easy walk.
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa features 65 acres and 5 areas where the resort villas are situated. Each area has its own
Walt Disney World Bus Service stop, and the bus transportation to the theme parks will make each stop to accommodate Guests. I can say my wife and I have experienced being the only Guests on an otherwise empty bus, and I can also say we've experienced being the last Guests able to board a completely full bus.
In all my many stays at the resort, I'd say the typical route is about a 30-minute trip to a theme park — give or take. Keep in mind this will vary depending on a number of factors including time of day, travel season, number of Guests on board, and traffic.
My general, personal rule of thumb is that I always allow about an hour to get where I need to go at the time I need to arrive.
One other tip I'll share, Kayla, is that you should take a look at the resort map and see where the bus stops are located, because the closest bus stop could be in a neighboring area.
And do take advantage of the beautiful stroll or boat ride over to Disney Springs.
Enjoy your Disney!
Jerry
