How long does it take to get to the parks on EMH days from Saratoga Springs?

    Hi Kayla,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

As a Disney Vacation Club Member with a Home Resort at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, I can share how much I always enjoy our stays at the resort. I really enjoy the wide open spaces and tranquil retreat vibe. I especially love that Disney Springs, with all its shopping and dining and entertainment, is such an easy walk.

Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa features 65 acres and 5 areas where the resort villas are situated. Each area has its own Walt Disney World Bus Service stop, and the bus transportation to the theme parks will make each stop to accommodate Guests. I can say my wife and I have experienced being the only Guests on an otherwise empty bus, and I can also say we've experienced being the last Guests able to board a completely full bus.

In all my many stays at the resort, I'd say the typical route is about a 30-minute trip to a theme park — give or take. Keep in mind this will vary depending on a number of factors including time of day, travel season, number of Guests on board, and traffic.

My general, personal rule of thumb is that I always allow about an hour to get where I need to go at the time I need to arrive.

One other tip I'll share, Kayla, is that you should take a look at the resort map and see where the bus stops are located, because the closest bus stop could be in a neighboring area.

And do take advantage of the beautiful stroll or boat ride over to Disney Springs.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
