Hi Connie,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited that you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! Your children must be thrilled.
Without knowing the specific Disney Springs hotel, I am unable to give you a precise answer regarding travel time. However, I always advise guests with young children to stay as close to the magic as possible. Transportation takes time at the Walt Disney World Resort. Even when staying at a Disney Resort Hotel and using Disney transportation, it has taken us an hour and a half to get from our resort to a dining reservation in some cases.
We prefer staying at a resort with access to the monorail.
Disney's Contemporary Resort,
Polynesian Village Resort, and
Grand Floridian Resort & Spa all have access to three modes of transportation. We have used the
Resort Monorail,
Water Launch and Bus Transportation. From the Contemporary, we have also walked to Magic Kingdom. Having just recently stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, I can say that it is close to Animal Kingdom Park but a bit of a distance from Magic Kingdom. Our bus, however, was a direct bus to Magic Kingdom. Bus routes can change, so just check when you arrive.
With little ones, having multiple transportation options is a lifesaver.
Have a magical time!
