How long after the 1st of the year will the park be decorated for Christmas. What are the park hours the first two weeks of January. Trying to avoid the Christmas crowds but still enjoy the decorations!

    Hey Howdy Hey, Kay!

You've Got a Friend in Me here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, so thanks for your wonderful question. I am hoping that we soon will get an announcement on the Disney Parks Blog of Disneyland Resort holiday dates so you can begin to plan your magical and merry vacation!

Last July it was announced that the 2018 Disneyland Resort holiday and Christmas displays would be up through January 6th, 2019. While we don't know what is planned yet for January of 2020 yet, I do know that in the past the seasonal Christmas decor has trickled into the new year for a few short days. You will also be able to see the exact entertainment schedules and park hours typically six weeks in advance on the Daily Events Schedule.

As someone who also likes to plan visits on less popular days, I would also consider visiting during the early weeks of the festive holiday season. Last year the holidays started in mid November, and I found that crowds were low at the start of the season. It's definitely something to consider if you want to enjoy the magical holiday displays, transformed attractions like Haunted Mansion Holiday and "it's a small world" Holiday, and delightful treats that are only around for a limited time.

I hope this helps, and please return if you have any other questions. Have a Fantasmic day!
