Hi, Viviane, Welcome to the
Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's great to hear you will be celebrating your daughter's 13th birthday at
Walt Disney World! There is simply no better place in the world to celebrate a birthday than in the middle of the magic!
To add a
Disney dining plan, you must have a
Disney Resort Hotel Package (room and theme park tickets). If you only want to book a resort hotel with no park tickets, I am afraid you will not be able to add a dining plan.
I hope you consider visiting the
theme parks as there is so much you and your daughter can do. Keep your eyes peeled at the start of the year for super convenient packages (room & tickets) that might also include free dining! If you would like to secure a spot, remember that you can make reservations up to 499 days in advance and if a more convenient offer pops up, you can always apply that offer to your reservation and you could end up paying much less than you initially thought!
If your daughter loves the
Disney Princesses, you can plan the most wonderful day for her at
Magic Kingdom Park.
In this link, you will find a list of attractions for tweens and teens that your daughter might want to have a look at. Also, do not forget to stop by your resort lobby or Guest Relations at any theme park to get a Happy Birthday pin for your daughter to wear on her clothes. By doing so, everyone who notices can congratulate her on celebrating one more birthday. Besides, you never know when Tinker Bell will be around and spreading her pixie-dust! At Magic Kingdom Park, you can take your daughter to visit
Princess Fairytale Hall in the morning so she can take her picture with Rapunzel and Tiana or Cinderella and Elena in an enchanting royal setting. You could also make a lunch reservation for her to eat lunch with the princesses at
Cinderella's Royal Table in Cinderella Castle and after a fun-filled afternoon and evening, you both may wrap up the day by watching
Happily Ever After, the most advanced fireworks show I have EVER seen!
Even though next year's dates for
Disney Villains After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park have not been revealed yet, I would encourage you to keep your eyes peeled for the latest news and stories on the
DisneyParksBlog.com.
Viviane, I know you and your daughter will have a magnificent time at the Walt Disney World Resort, please come back if you have any additional questions as you continue to plan your visit.
See ya real soon!
