How long of a walk is it from the Pixar Pl., Hotel to the entrance of Disneyland, magic kingdom

Hi there Diane, thanks for stopping by planDisney!

How exciting that you're planning a stay at the Pixar Place Hotel, it looks absolutely stunning!  I cannot wait to take my family to stay there, and experience all of the Pixar-themed rooms and furnishings.  I had a chance to walk through the newly renovated lobby late last year, and it is beautiful.

I've made the walk many times from the Pixar Place Hotel to the main gates of Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, and it usually takes us about 10-15 minutes, and that includes 2 young kids and a stroller!  However, you will need to go through the security checkpoint when you enter the Downtown Disney District, and your time to get through that line may vary.  I like to allow plenty of time to get through security and walk to the gates, so I'd leave at least 30 minutes before you'd like to arrive at the gates to be safe.

If you are beginning your day in Disneyland Park, you can also take the Disneyland Monorail that will take you straight into Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park.  This would be a great option if your family wants to enjoy some thrills on Space Mountain upon arrival!  However, if you're not starting your day in Tomorrowland, then I recommend just walking through the Downtown Disney District to the main gates.

If you are going to enjoy Disney California Adventure Park, there's actually a direct entrance specifically for Pixar Place Hotel Guests.  You can head across the street from the hotel towards Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and tap your hotel room key to open the gate and head straight into Disney California Adventure Park!  The path will lead you right into Paradise Gardens Park near Corn Dog Castle.  Might as well grab a delicious corn dog while you're there too!

I hope this information is helpful for your upcoming trip, Diane!  Please feel free to follow-up with me directly if I can help with any other questions to help plan your visit, you've got a friend in me!

    Have a magical day,
    Melissa
