Hey Howdy Hey Ana and welcome to planDisney!
It is so exciting to hear you will be in the Most Magical Place on Earth really soon with your daughters and granddaughter. Thank you for stopping by with your question on dining reservation timing. I will do my best to give you a few options to consider when making your reservations.
The biggest decision-making factor when deciding what time you should make your reservation at
Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort would be what time you plan on arriving at EPCOT. If you do arrive right at 9:00 AM, there may be quite the crowd waiting to get in. Navigating the crowds and walking quickly I would plan a good 20-30 minutes to get from the entrance of EPCOT to Cape My Cafe. To be on the safe side, I think if you made your reservations around 10 or 10:30 AM, this will give you plenty of time to get through security, navigate the early morning crowds and get to your dining destination without a huge rush.
One little tip I have for you as you are making your plans involves checking into your reservation. When you make dining reservations and link them to your My Disney Experience account, you will have the option for a
Mobile Dine Check-in to check into your reservation online. So say you are right outside the resort a few minutes before your reservation time, you can check-in online and will be notified through the app as well when your table is ready. It is super easy to do and has helped my family out a few times on reservations we were running close on.
The other option you may want to consider is
Disney Minnie Van Service. This is Disney's rideshare option operated through Lyft where you can request a Minnie Van with a car seat to pick you up and drop you off right at your destination in true Minnie style. This is an added cost however it will take the step of quickly walking and navigating crowds out and allow you more time to relax and enjoy the experience.
I hope you can snag these reservations and experience a character meal through the eyes of your granddaughter. Seeing the Disney Magic is something that words cannot describe!
Have a Magical day,
Nick
