how long does it take to walk from disneyland parking structure to the front gates?

    Greetings Lisa!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I can't wait for you to visit the Happiest Place on Earth!

Parking at the Disneyland Resort is such a breeze. Depending on where you are driving from, there are two different parking areas you can use when visiting the Disneyland Resort theme parks. The Mickey & Friends Parking Structure is accessible from Disneyland Drive and West Ball Road, and the Toy Story Parking Area is accessible from South Harbor Boulevard and West Katella Avenue. Both parking areas offer transportation to get you closer to the entrance of the parks, or you may walk if you choose.

Walking from the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure takes about 10-15 minutes, but may be longer depending on how busy the security checkpoint is to get on to Resort property. There is also a parking tram located at this structure that takes about 5 minutes, but you may have to wait a few minutes for a tram to arrive. Sometimes I have found walking takes about the same amount of time if I have just missed a tram leaving.

Over at the Toy Story Parking Area you can take a bus to the entrance of the Parks. This walk is a little farther than from the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure and can take around 25 minutes plus time to go through security.

Did you know when you park at either structure you can leave and come back for no additional charge? Just keep your receipt when you return later that same day.

I hope this helps, and have a magical day!
