Hi Sally! I think you are going to really enjoy your stay at the Beach Club. The walk from your villa to the water slide in
Stormalong Bay is no more than 5 minutes. You’ll exit the villas passing by the statue of Ariel. Straight across the walkway, you can detour through the beautiful Solarium and make your way to the Beach Club Lobby. Exiting out the rear doors, you’ll quickly be on the walkway towards Stormalong Bay. It’s just a short jaunt to the pool complex’s slide area.
The Albatross Shipwreck contains the entrance to the slide. The slide empties in to a pool area. Part of it is usually roped off for those coming down the slide and the other side of the pool is open for swimming. This pool is very large and continues to meander around the corner from the slide (including going under bridges that serve as walkways around the pool area).
There are chairs and lounges conveniently nearby. Note that guests have to actually exit the pool area in order to access the slide entrance. This is a rather odd set-up and requires extra diligence for parents with small children.
The kiddie pool area is actually to the rear of the shipwreck (by the beach) and separated from the rest of the complex.
By doing a search on “stormalong bay aerial photo”, you’ll get to see how compact this beautiful resort actually is. The Beach Club Resort packs in a lot of wonderful amenities but is not overwhelming.
