Hi Susan! As much as I admire your adventurous spirit, I will encourage you to hang up your bullwhip and fedora and advise that you not make the daring trek from
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to
Disney’s Contemporary Resort. There are no sidewalks or walking paths in place that would allow or permit Guests to make the walk safely from one resort to the other. So, let’s try to get you from the sketchbook pages of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort to the original hotel of the Walt Disney World Resort…Disney’s Contemporary Resort, without having to go like Indiana Jones!
Guests at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort should board a bus bound for Magic Kingdom Park. Once the bus arrives at the bus loop at Magic Kingdom Park, you can exit the bus and take the short walk to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The walk should take between five to ten minutes depending upon your walking speed preference.
The other option is to exit the bus and make the short walk to the
Monorail station at Magic Kingdom Park. You don’t need to enter the park to board the Monorail. You can then take the short ride to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It is the first stop that you’ll make on the Monorail.
Remember, Susan, a great perk of being a Guest at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel is the
complimentary transportation that you’ll enjoy! Those rides aboard Disney Transportation are all a part of your magical vacation! So, skip the jungle trek and stick to the complimentary transportation!
Happy Planning!
