How long of a walk is it from the AOA Little Mermaid rooms to transportation? Our kids will be 4 & 2 when we visit and the amount of walking to transportation and the Big Blue pool is very important.

    Hello Beth!
I am very excited for you and your family because you have chosen an incredible Walt Disney World Resort-Disney's Art of Animation Resort! My son and I had the pleasure of staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort in the Little Mermaid rooms and we loved it. According to my experience it was about a 5 minute walk from the Little Mermaid section to the Big Blue Pool and Animation Hall Building (the Disney transportation buses are located in front of Animation Hall). While the Little Mermaid section buildings are not the closest buildings to Animation Hall, they are still pretty close. When you do your online check-in you can also request to be near transportation and this will typically give you a better chance of having a room in a Little Mermaid building that would be the closest to Animation Hall. Also you may want to consider bringing strollers from home for your children to lessen the amount of walking that they have to do on your vacation. I hope that your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way for you and your family!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
