    How long a walk is it from animal kingdom entrance to Kilimanjaro safari

    It sounds like you are preparing to spend some time with the magnificent creatures at Kilimanjaro Safaris. How wonderful!

    Disney's Animal Kingdom is a lush, enchanting theme park that offers opportunities for discovery around every corner. If you plan to start your day at Kilimanjaro Safaris, you'll want to be sure to leave yourself approximately 15 minutes to walk from the touch points at the entrance of the park to the location where you'll enter this attraction. Guests who walk briskly toward Kilimanjaro Safaris may be able to reach their destination a bit quicker than that, but you want to allow yourself a more leisurely pace so you can take in some of the sights along the way. Morning is a fabulous time to experience this attraction as the animals are often more active in the cooler temperatures of the early part of the day. 

    I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll get to see Augustus, the adorable baby hippo that was born at Disney's Animal Kingdom earlier this year, as you enjoy your safari. My husband, son and I spotted him in March when we participated in the Wild Africa Trek. He sure is a cutie!
