How long do I wait in line for the rides

Well hello there Mandeep, welcome to planDisney!

Depending on when we choose to visit any of the Theme Parks at Disney Destinations around the world, having to wait in a lengthy standby queue is something that my husband and I always try to strategize and find ways to avoid whenever possible. Truth be told, the amount of time that one would have to wait for a particular ride or attraction varies a lot depending on where it is located, the time of year as well as the time of day!

I highly recommend downloading the My Disney Experience Mobile App sooner than later and becoming familiar with its features, like taking a peek at the Attraction Wait Times. Do this at various times of the day that line up with the respective local time in Florida and observe how the wait times fluctuate so you have a better idea of which rides and attractions tend to be busier and which ones have consistently lower waits. It was through this method that we were able to deduce that something like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance which could see upwards of three hour standby waits (we've definitely done this once and spending hours stuck within the cave walls of the secret Resistance stronghold at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge isn't the most pleasant experience in the world), could also be experienced after a relatively much shorter wait of 10-15 minutes right before closing time if we planned it well enough to coincide with performances of Fantasmic!

Since you'll be arriving in December around the holiday season, it might be a good idea to prepare for an influx of folks looking to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Theme Parks bedecked in holiday cheer. Something that so many folks have found useful to help make the most of their days is using Complimentary Disney Genie Service and taking advantage of the in-app recommendations that would inform them when ideally lower wait times are available; a step further would be purchasing reserved access to Lightning Lanes via Disney Genie+ Service or even an Individual Lightning Lane entry to the most popular rides in each Theme Park.

Sometimes you might find that the posted attraction wait times may curiously be higher than your actual experience in the standby queue, which Cast Members may say is due to Disney Genie+ reservations. One of my Princely Picks, Tips and Tricks is to keep an eye out for a posted wait time of exactly 13 minutes at the Haunted Mansion or the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror; this usually implies that there is little to no wait or what guests in the know like to call a "walk-on"! I hope that this was helpful Mandeep, come back to planDisney again for any more tips, tricks or advice before you head over on your upcoming Disney adventure!

Here's to making the most of your visit with rides that are definitely worth the wait!
