How long does it take to visit the entire Animal Kingdom? We are seniors touring on an ECV.

Hey there, Karen! Welcome to planDisney!

Karen, this is a heavily debated topic. Some Guests feel that Disney's Animal Kingdom park is a half-day park. But you and I know that those naysayers are incorrect! With so much to do and see throughout the park, my family and I always plan to spend an entire day at Disney's Animal Kingdom. It also happens to be our favorite of the four Theme Parks. We love that we can take it a little slower and really immerse ourselves in the local cultures. Whether we’re watching the drummers in Africa, shopping for souvenirs in Asia, or playing carnival-style games in Dinoland U.S.A., we enjoy experiencing everything Animal Kingdom has to offer!

Here are some of my favorite recommendations for spending the day at Disney's Animal Kingdom:

    Morning
Start your day in Africa with a warm Cinnamon Roll from the Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery. But make sure not to get too full and sleepy yet because you have to see what animals you can spot on the Kilimanjaro Safaris! My wife and I like to see who can find a new animal we've never seen before on the Safari. From there, zip over to the Celebration of Festival of the Lion King. This Broadway-style show is sure to warm your heart and put a big kid grin on your face!

    Lunch
If you’re up for another attraction, head over to the Wildlife Express Train to get a behind-the-scenes look at the park's animals. If not, grab lunch at Yak & Yeti Restaurant. Take advantage of this opportunity to grab some air conditioning and recharge for the second half of your day. If you haven't noticed by now, my days in Disney's Animal Kingdom are planned around food.

    Afternoon
After taking a moment to rest, experience Asia by heading into the Maharajah Jungle Trek. Don't let the tigers worry you, they don't bite….at least I don't think they do! And since you've already gotten your Lion King fix for the day, head over to the amphitheater in Asia to catch the Jungle Book themed performance of Disney's KiteTails! This exclusive 50th Anniversary Celebration show will have you feeling like a kid again. And Is it snack time yet? Of course, it is! Mr. Kamal's has some of the best seasoned fries you will ever taste!

    Night
If you are still in the park after dark, don't miss your chance to see Pandora - The Land of Avatar in its nighttime glory! A quick dinner at Satu'li Canteen is also a fantastic way to cap off a day in the parks. Make sure to mobile-order your meal in the My Disney Experience app, grab a seat on the covered patio and enjoy. Whew, you are going to sleep like a baby!

I hope this helps, Karen! You've got a friend in me!

    To Infinity and Beyond,

    PG
