Hi Cynthia,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for taking the time to send us your question. It looks like you are well on your way to planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. With all of the recent changes, the timeline can be a little confusing.
In order to plan your days at any of the four Theme Parks, once you have purchased your Theme Park Tickets you are able to make your
Theme Park Reservation which is now required to enter a Theme Park. Using the Disney Park Pass system, simply input your party and choose which Theme Park you would like to visit, for each day you have a valid Theme Park Ticket. The reservation will appear in your
My Disney Experience Account, and if you need to modify your reservations that can be done in My Disney Experience as well, provided there is availability for the switch you would like to make. If you added the Park Hopper option to your Theme Park Tickets, there are no additional reservations or planning required. The only caveat is that you will need to visit the Theme Park that you have secured using your Theme Park Pass prior to hopping. Once you are ready to head to your second Theme Park, use Disney Transportation to take your party to the second Theme Park, provided capacity has not been reached.
Once you have your Theme Park Tickets and your Theme Park Reservations, dining will be the last part of your planning that will require making some concrete plans. If you are wanting to dine at a Table Service or Signature Dining Location, I would recommend making an
Advanced Dining Reservation in order to secure a reservation for your visit. Advanced Dining Reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance and because these Dining Locations are extremely popular, reservations fill up quickly. If you plan on enjoying some of the Quick Service Dining Locations, no additional planning is required.
Once you have secured all of your reservations, you may want to consider making a touring plan or itinerary for your visit. My family and I love to look through the attractions and experiences at each Theme Park and decide on our must do attractions. This gives me an idea of what we will do every day, as well as making sure we aren't running all over the Theme Park at the end of the night because my daughter "needs" to go back and ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
I hope you have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort, Cynthia. Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
