How long does it take to get from V&A to hammocks @ Poly to watch fireworks? How long does it take by boat, limo, taxi and bus to get from GF to Poly? Where to go to get hammock once arrive @ Poly, would it be weird to wear dressy clothes on hammock? T

Hi Nicholas! Sounds like you are planning a romantic beach end of your day to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks. Wishing you a beautiful moonlit night!

You have many options to go from the Grand Floridian to the Polynesian resort. Your quickest is by car/taxi/limo as that trip is only about seven minutes. The next quickest is by boat which is about a ten minute ride but you always have to add wait time for the boat to arrive at the Grand Floridian dock and also the walk time to the dock. You can take the monorail which is about a 19-20 minute ride as it goes the opposite direction from where you want to be. You would hop on and then have four stops until you reach the Polynesian.

Hammocks can't be reserved so getting there early is a key. Many guests come from dining so they are often dressed above beach wear. Head through the lobby toward the beach and pool area and then walk along until you find a hammock that is available. They are first come first get so you might not find one after all. There are a few benches as well but if no seat is found it can still be romantic standing in the sand with your shoes off watching the amazing show. At certain times of year you will want to be sure you have some bug spray along just in case.
