Hi there! How long would it take us to get from the Contemporary to the Grand Floridian please? Wanting to book 1900 Park Fare for my 5 yo - we are staying at the Contemporary so wondering if breakfast at GF would be easy? thanks!

    Hi Samantha!

You'll love breakfast at 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian! It's so much fun and the dining options at the huge buffet provide something delicious to suit every taste! The Mad Hatter is absolutely hilarious. Be sure to have your camera or video ready to roll to capture every memorable moment.

You've chosen a great resort to stay at to be in the heart of all the action and with great transportation options. To get to the Grand Floridian from the Contemporary you have a couple of options, and either way you'll want to leave your resort about an hour prior to your reservation time just to allow for wait times and actual transportation. Traveling time will be about 20 minutes, not including wait times.

Your first (and most fun!) option would be to board the Monorail inside the Contemporary Resort. After brief stops at the Transportation and Ticket Center and Disney's Polynesian Resort, you'll find yourselves arriving at the lobby of the Grand Floridian. Proceed downstairs to the main floor and head on over to 1900 Park Fare to check in.

Alternatively, you may walk to Magic Kingdom's park entrance area from the Contemporary and then board a boat launch to the Grand Floridian. The walking time will be approximately 10 minutes followed by your short wait for a launch and 10 minute boat ride.

Wishing you a simply Magical time on your Walt Disney World vacation Samantha!
