How long typically is the wait for lunch at Be Our Guest? would love to take my daughter, but just found out we cannot make reservations. Do not want to waste too much time waiting to be seated.

Hi Nicole! I just made time to head to Be Our Guest restaurant in the new Fantasyland part of the Magic Kingdom last week. I wanted to experience how it was done as it is a new type of ordering system used here.

If you want a minimal wait I suggest you get in line at 10:30am. You will be guaranteed immediate seating and a line that will move as fast as possible since you are first to enter when it opens. The line will grow long and will move down the sidewalk and around the corner.  Once the line snakes around you know it will be a wait. When we left the restaurant it was a long line and I asked a cast member what the wait would be estimated at from the end of the sidewalk. She said it would be about 45 minutes from that point to get in.

There were plenty of empty tables inside the restaurant when we left so that is not the issue that is making the wait. The new ordering system can be lengthy inside as you enter your choices at a kiosk. There is often a cast member there to assist you but the first time can be lengthy. Don't forget to scroll down once you have chosen your main entree as there are drinks and desserts listed below the food. Once you are done you will be given a "rose" which is a coded block that you need to place on your table. I suggest you find a table and then leave someone there while you or others get the drinks at the stations. The food takes only minutes to reach you and it can only find your table if you leave that "rose" sitting there. There have been stories about guests who wander around the rooms looking at the decor while the wait staff tries to chase them down with their food!

I have dined there now for both lunch and dinner and I personally enjoyed the lunch menu and atmosphere better. Hopefully you can also find time to get in to have the same experience!
