How long does it take to travel from All Star Movies Resort to the parks on the bus? (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios). This is our first time going!

Christina, hello and welcome to planDisney. It is so exciting that you are planning your first trip to the Most Magical Place On Earth. You are going to have a great time!

Christina, I recently stayed at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort and had such a fun time. I really love the newly renovated rooms. They are so different and more modern than they used to be when I was a kid visiting this resort. Everything is so light, bright and spacious. It's so good!

It's hard to give you an accurate timeframe on how long the busses will take to get to each of the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks. As you can imagine, it all depends on traffic, Guests and so many other factors. However, I'm going to give you some approximate times to go off of so you can plan your days a little bit better, just keep in mind these aren't set in stone times.

    • Magic Kingdom Park - 18-minute bus ride
    • EPCOT - 18-minute bus ride
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios - 15-minute bus ride
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park - 15-minute bus ride
Transportation to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks starts running about 45 minutes to 1 hour prior to that particular park's scheduled opening time. I'm an early bird, only at Walt Disney World, I truly feel like you get the most bang for your buck in the first few hours the theme parks are open in the morning. I like to be on that first bus over to the parks in the morning. You'll find me at the bus stop 1 hour prior to the opening every day. This pretty much guarantees to be on that first bus, heading through security and then jetting off to that first attraction for the day the moment the theme park opens. If you are trying to maximize your time, this is a great way to do it.

Christina, I know you are counting down the days to your first magical adventure at Walt Disney World. In the meantime, if you have any other questions please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
