Greetings, Chloe, welcome to planDisney!
Visiting
Disneyland Resort is an entirely different experience because it’s a pedestrian-friendly destination, and the two theme parks, and three Disneyland Resort Hotels are all within close reach. The amount of time saved by not using transportation really gives you more time to spend at the theme parks and the Downtown Disney District. Most of all, just knowing that Walt Disney used to walk everywhere around Disneyland Park gives you such a special, nostalgic feeling, it’s difficult to explain, and something to be experienced. Regarding Covid-19, please refer to
Disneyland Resort’s current Health and Safety measures in preparation for your visit and please visit www.usa.gov for requirements for entry into the United States.
The benefit of staying onsite is the great convenience of being able to literally pop back into your
Disneyland Resort Hotel Guest Room in mere minutes - think of strolling along the BoardWalk promenade and heading over to the Disney’s Beach Club, it’s very much like that at Disneyland Resort. And one hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa even has direct access to Disney California Adventure Park solely for registered Guests of that hotel and I recommend it. I also love the Disneyland Hotel, the original hotel on the property which is close to the Disneyland Monorail, transporting Guests right into Disneyland Park to be let off. Each hotel offers character dining which is really convenient as well.
Everything is so very familiar, yet still unique. I love how many attraction queue areas have such adornment with so much detail, one could spend hours just gazing away. I really recommend spending three solid days at each theme park to really go at an easy pace to take it all in.
At this time, Guests need a Disneyland Resort -
Theme Park Reservation using valid theme park admission, and I would definitely recommend booking a Disneyland Resort vacation package to include tickets, which you need to link, just like we do at Walt Disney World Resort. They also have the Disneyland App which reminds me of My Disney Experience, so there is familiarity with that. And lastly, do consider the new theme park ticket option, the
Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane service which saves you time waiting in lines for those attractions that offer the Lightning Lane entrance.
