Does it take a long time taking the buses to each park? Are the buses ran on a schedule?

    Hi LaMissa,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for sending us your question.  One of the many perks to staying at the Walt Disney World Resort is Complimentary Resort Transportation throughout the property.

Buses are scheduled roughly every 20 minutes, however timing is always subject to change.  Different times of year may have longer lines and wait times however they are typically very efficient.  During busier times of years more buses are added in rotation, Disney really does try to keep wait times down.   Most bus stops even have television screens with real time updates regarding the wait times for each bus.

Depending on which Theme Park you are traveling to, and which Resort you are coming from, the time spent on route can vary from 10 minutes to around 25 minutes. If you are traveling from one end of Walt Disney World Resort property to the other, for example from Disney's Contemporary Resort to Disney's Animal Kingdom, it will take much longer than if your Resort Hotel is closer to your end destination.

What I do find time consuming in terms of transportation, is having to switch between modes of transportation, so if you are taking a bus and then a boat or the monorail.  When I know that I have to switch, I will always plan for extra time to arrive at my destination, just to be safe.

I hope that helps, LaMissa.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to assist.
