Long time Disney World guest and first time mom. We used to visit the parks three times a year before my pregnancy. We will have a little tikes 4-in-1 trike with removable pedals. Is this something that would be allowed in the parks?

Magical greetings, Faith, and welcome to planDisney? And welcome back to Walt Disney World as a new mom. I absolutely love how you worded your question. That's so clever!

I love that you're bringing your little one. I always tell people that their childhood is your motherhood, and while they may not remember everything, or anything depending on age, you will remember they way they light up and giggle at all the wonder and merriment they see. I think it's a perfect vacation spot for littles because it engages all of our senses, and that's how the little ones learn. You could even call it educational. But, you need a way to tote your child around, so let's get your question answered.

According to the rules on bringing strollers, they may not be larger than 31 inches wide and 52 inches long, and wagons aren't permitted. I'm not sure what the measurements of your trike are, but this will give you a guide. The tricky part is that on the Walt Disney World Property Rules, there is a section that says recreational devices aren't permitted. It specifically mentions bicycles only being allowed in certain areas, but it doesn't say anything about tricycles. That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if a tricycle is considered a recreational device, even without the pedals. Disney Cast Members do have the final say and can prohibit anything that is considered harmful or disruptive.

My recommendation is to plan on bringing more of a traditional stroller to the parks just to be on the safe side. I'd hate for something like this to take up any of your valuable vacation time. Or, you could look into Stroller Rentals once you get into the park.

I know this is probably not the definitive answer you were hoping for, yet you're being smart to plan ahead so you don't have any surprises. I hope I've at least helped you make an informed decision.

Faith, have a wonderful time, and remember to pick up a First Visit celebration button for your little one. They can be found at Guest Services or at merchandise locations. We'd love to see you real soon if you have any other questions we can help with.

    Grab hold of your dreams!
