A long time ago, you could purchase a classic Mickey ear hat base, no patch and no ears. It’s been over a decade at least. I was wondering if those hat bases are still available for purchase at DLR somewhere. Thank you.

Hello there Janelle! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

I have not seen a hat base for Mickey ears that did not have both the ears attached as well as some sort of patch or design. However, if you are able to visit the Disneyland Resort soon, I do have a few shop recommendations for you!

My first stop would be The Mad Hatter on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park. They have a huge selection of hats, ears, and caps, and would be a great place to begin your search! Even if they do not have exactly what you're looking for, I'm sure one of the helpful Cast Members would be a great resource for your search.

My next suggestion would be to explore the Kingswell Shop located in Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure Park. They also have a great selection of ears and hats, and would be my first recommendation to stop into if you find yourself at Disney California Adventure Park.

If you find yourself visiting the Downtown Disney District for the day, I always head straight for the World of Disney store. Any kind of souvenir that you could want is sold in this store, and there are several sections of ears and hats located throughout the entire store!
